Timeless, sun-toasted LA psych from The Allah-Las – a chiming, dreamy little guitar rock gem on the Innovative Leisure label! There's some garage-charged numbers, and on the fllipside of that approach, there's some surprisingly delicate numbers – plus some swaggery, late 60s Stones-y styled tunes, too. They wear their influences pretty proudly, but the songs are really strong and memorable – it's no mere stylistic rehash – much like what labelmate Hammi El-Katib is doing with his 60s forbears, The Allah-Las are making a pretty strong new school take on classic fuzzed out rock! Titles include "Catamaran", "Don't You Forget It", "No Voodoo", "Sandy", "Vis-A-Vis", "Seven Point Five", "Ela Navega", "Busmans Holiday" and more.  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

An incredible album – one of the greatest rock albums of the 60s, and a record we'd place right up there on the shelf next to Pet Sounds or Forever Changes! The arrangements are sublime – proof that the Zombies were growing way past just a simple Brit Invasion style, into a world of ... LP, Vinyl record album

GP (180 gram pressing)
Warner, 1972. New Copy (reissue)
The seminal Gram Parsons solo debut, and arguably his most consistant post-Burritos album. GP is pretty much the record that put the country in country rock – with a sharp steel guitar cry throughout, an unpretentious proud/poor delivery, and those sweet harmonies with Emmylou Harris. Heads Up
Liberty, Late 60s. New Copy (reissue)
Heavy rock from a group who definitely live up to their name! The Heads work in a messed-up mix of late 60s rock styles – all pretty straightforward, but with elements of soul bubbling underneath a heady brew of psychedelic guitars and darker production. The set was put together by George ... LP, Vinyl record album
