Dancing Machine
LP (Item 23635) Motown, 1974 — Condition: Used
Magnificent material from the Jackson 5 – a set that really has them moving into a whole new mature style in their music – taking on bigger themes and wider grooves, and really finding a fresh new voice in the process! There's a bit of funk in the mix, a bit of early club, and some cool baroque production modes that really move past straight Motown hit styles – heard to greatest effect on the album's wonderful opener – "I Am Love". The set also features the classic pre-disco "Dancing Machine", a perennial favorite – and the cuts "The Mirrors Of My Mind", "Whatever You Got I Want", "She's A Rhythm Child", "If I Don't Love You This Way", and "What You Don't Know". (Reissue pressing. Cover has a cutout notch.) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
