A crackling batch of Latin from mid 80s London – recorded at the Bass Clef nightclub, and a great illustration for this overlooked scene at the time! The groups all work in a style that hearkens back to the best years of the New York scene – with perhaps an even stronger placement of rootsy elements than you might get from American groups of the time, mixed with a few bolder jazz moments that echo the growth to come in the London scene.
