Jaunty, sprightly grooves from the wonderful Chris Montez – one of his sublime 60s classics for A&M Records, done with beautiful backings from the great Nick DeCaro! The pairing of Montez and DeCaro is totally great – as Nick finds a way to really get the right sort of punch out of Chris' light and dreamy voice – this kind of back/forth, sing/song sort of rhythm that really works wonders – taking familiar tunes, and turning them into whole new Montez-motivated numbers! There's more than a bit of bossa in the mix, and the whole thing's put together with a dreamy creamy A&M sound that really sends us – and titles include "The Girl From Ipanema", "Our Day Will Come", "Time After Time", "Elena", "Going Out Of My Head", and "Sunny".
