CD (Item 609685) Quartet (Spain), 1974 — Condition: New Copy

Jerry Fielding's killer soundtrack to Sam Peckinpah's darkest, most difficult, gnarliest film ever – which is really saying something – and the soundtrack is a brilliant blend of 70s thriller soundscapes and Spanish guitar flavored touches! The Mexico-set film, and the lounge piano playing main character (played by the great Warren Oates) create plenty of room for Mr. Fielding plenty of space for far-reaching compositions. Flamenco and otherwise acoustic strings and waltzes, chilling movements for the tenser and more disturbing elements of the film, and straighter soundtrack orchestrations go together incredibly well! Includes "Bring It To Me", "Gathering Information", "Marriage Plans", "Bennie's Revenge", "Killer's Rhapsody", "Requiem For Alfredo", "El Jefe", "Road Kill", "Bennie And Alfredo", "End Titles" and more from the original soundtrack, plus bonus tracks that include "Puerto Rico", "Guatemala", "Elita's Dream", "Ranchero Duet", "Jerry And Camille" and more. (Limited edition of 1000 copies.)  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
