Hard, raw, righeous group funk – one of the hardest-hitting early albums ever produced by Patrick Adams! The set's got a feel that's much more like the Detroit work on the Westbound label than other records on the Today label – no surprise, given that group leader Mudbone later worked with Bootsy Collins in The Rubber Band! The style here is a bit more freewheeling than P-Funk, though – really jamming at times, with raw guitar, wild horn parts, and long tracks that blend together bits of funk, rock, and electric jazz!
