Curtis

Temporarily Out Of Stock

Add Item to Want List
LP (Item 4004) Curtom, 1970 — Condition: Used

This was Curtis Mayfield's first solo album after leaving the Impressions, and it's a firey album of political soul that shows just how much he was holding back when he was with the group. The tracks are longer, angrier, more experimental, and a lot more funky. Standout tracks include "If There's a Hell Below, We're All Gonna Go", "Miss Black America", and "We the People Who Are Darker Than Blue" – but the whole album's a classic! (Original pressing. Cover has a factory sticker, some wear, a split top seam, some splitting on the bottom seam, and some stains.)  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
