Rare French work from American pianist Errol Parker – 3 cool tunes used as the soundtrack for a film! "Des Garcons Et Des Filles" features a trio led by Parker, who plays some great piano, and also scats vocally with singer Rozaa Wortham – in this cool, catchy way that makes the tune a really mod groover! "Solange" features more great vocals, plus a bit of vibes too – a very French tune with a great 60s soundtrack feel. "Bluesoscope" is straighter piano work, but pretty great – and features Jimmy Woode on bass and Ron Jefferson on drums. (Limited numbered pressing!)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

That's "C'ex" as in "sex" – at least that's the way it sounds on the lyrics, which are really more just a shouted version of the title over some very funky rhythms! The tune's a wonderful erotic funk number – of the sort that always makes digging for Euro records of ... 7-inch, Vinyl record

Academy, Early 70s. New Copy (pic cover, reissue)
We've never been commotted – so we're not sure what it means to "Don't Commot Me" – but we can say that the tune is a wickedly sharp bit of Afro Funk, complete with some very fast-riffing guitar! The instrument's a lot more tight than on some of the looser Afro numbers of the ... 7-inch, Vinyl record
