Le Chanson De Prevert EP
7-inch (Item 566731) Philips/Universal (France), 1961 — Condition: New Copy
Very early work from Serge Gainsbourg – but still every bit as wonderful as ever! The tracks have Serge singing with small jazz combo arrangements by Alain Goraguer – tight and groovy, maybe not as funky as later work, but still with an odd twist that shows that he was apart from the crowd, even early on in his career! The arrangements mix together flute, piano, percussion, and a bit of guitar – working through rhythms that range from lightly Carribbean, slightly Latin, and sadly jazzy. Titles include "La Chanson De Prevert", "Viva Villa", "Le Rock De Nerval", and "En Realisant Ta Lettre". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
