Trem Azul
CD (Item 543354) Som Livre/Vivid (Japan), 1982 — Condition: New Copy
Excellent late live work from Elis Regina – a beautiful double-length set that really gets at the depth of feeling and emotion she brought to her music! The set's one of the last ever recorded in Elis' all-too-short life – and it's got the same vibrancy and soaring sensibilities as her live Montreux performance, from the same stretch in her career. Backings are by a tight combo who bring a nice groove to some cuts, and let Elis really stretch out on others – and the rawness of the sound is a nice contrast to the polished production of some of her later studio records, too! Titles include "Trem Azul", "The Fuzz", "Lanca Perfume", "Flora", "Unencounter", and "Vento De Maio". (SHM-CD pressing.) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
