Goin' To Rio
LP (Item 20189) Columbia, 1973 — Condition: Used
An excellent album by Brazilian guitarist Bola Sete, and one that has him leading an orchestra through a set of tracks he composed and produced himself. The orchestra gives a beautifully full sound to the record, and is a nice counterpoint to other Sete albums from the time, which could sometimes be a bit snoozy and spare. It's also very cool to see what an expansive musical vision Sete was capable of, especially since most of his earlier records only had him playing with a small group. Tracks include "Goin To Rio", "Dance Of The Jungle", "Walking Giant", "Brazilian Soul", and "Meu Ogum". (Cover has a tracklist sitcker, ringwear, a split bottom seam, and edge wear. Spine has a spot of old tape & a small rip.) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
