Billy Butler — 400 Girls Ago/Up ... 7-inch
Kilmarnock, 1974. New Copy .... $6.99
Tripped-out spacey guitar by Billy Butler – two tracks lifted from his Via Galactica album, and produced by Galt MacDermot, who handled the whole project with a slightly stoner edge! "400 Girls" has this nice slow-stepping groove – really hanging in space and moving slowly in a really great way – as Billy slowly plucks out a sweet melody that builds as the tune rolls on! "Up" is a bit more uptempo, but kind of a weird wah wah bluesy number too – with these chords by Butler that are unlike most of his other records at the time!

Trash Company — Pluto/For The Hook ... 7-inch
Steady Sounds/Peoples Potential, 2012. New Copy (pic cover).... $6.99
Cosmic bedroom funk from The Trash Company – which is actually the solo project of one Max E Monroe – who sounds right at home on Peoples Potential! Max has purportedly been making music since the late 70s, and the spacey synth funk of "Pluto" sounds like it could have been made at any point since! "For The Hook" is even more otherwordly – with a heavy bass groove, shakey beats and thick waves of synths floating over it!
(Limited to 400 copies.)
