Benchmark Scientist dub – great stuff recorded and mixed at King Tubby's near the end of the 70s – and it's some of tightest, heaviest dubs of the period! Scientist works over some of the heftiest Aggrovator sides on this legendary set – one of favorite dub records, period! One particular standout is a great take on the "Drum Song" rhythm – but the whole set is inmpeccable! Other titles include "Taxi To Baltimore Dub", "Satta Dread Dub", "Every Dub Shall Scrub", "Blacka Shade Of Dub" and "Just Say Dub. . .Who". 10 tracks in all. This 3 X 10" box set version is very nicely done – with to 2 dubs per side – closing out with 2 bonus tracks: "Queen Of The Icotion" and "Party Time On The Enterprise".

Nice single off the lost Geffen LP. Of the songs that made it out on promo from that album, "I Juswannachill" was closest to the classic Main Source material.

Recorded in '86, Marrett plays rhythm guitar and sings, with a band that includes Glen Crooks, Bob Locke, Tim Norfolk, Tony Orrell and UK Scientist. Stellar roosty sounds from the Bristol scene. Includes "I'm Free", "Natural Princess", "Farm Diggin'", "Farm Dubbin'" "Jazzy Reggae" and "Jazzy Reggae Dub" – plus the bonus "Times Are Getting Harder (Shoc Wave 12", 1981)" and "Hard Times Dub (Shoc Wave 12", 1981)".

The Lone Ranger delivers a silver bullet with this batch of bouncing dancehall niceness featuring a Channel One posse that includes Sly & Robbie, Soldgie, Scientist and Barnabas! Probably best known as Studio One's top DJ, the Lone Ranger proves he can keep the bad guys in check even under his own production with this set that delivers a tight batch of tracks that hit the bull's eye with every shot! 10 tracks in all, including "Tom Drunk", "Rub 'N' Scrub", "Legalize The National Herb", "Gunshot Mek Daughter Drop", "Liviing As A Poor", "Johnny Make You Bad So", "The Clock", "Lone Ranger & Tonto", "Solomon" and "Love Affair Problem".

There's a great confluence of talents going on here – on a set that's one of Hugh Mundell's best from the early years! Backing is by Roots Radics, working with Hugh at Channel One – and the tracks were then all mixed by Scientist at King Tubby's – which gives them this dubby undercurrent that works great with Hugh's languid vocals! Instrumentation is nicely laidback, and features great organ from Winston Wright and tenor from Deadly Headley – on titles that include "Jacqueline", "Red Gold & Green", "Tell I A Lie", "24 Hours A Day", and "Your Face Is Familiar".

This is sort of a Prince Jammy riff on the format of the popular Junjo Lawes-produced Scientist dub series. Nonetheless, he steps up to bat, and indeed defeats the evil planet munchers, with the able help of the Roots Radics rhytnm section. Recorded at Channel One and mixed at Tubby's – and how can you argue with that!? Fat, heavy rhythms dubbed into deep, deep outer space by the heir to the throne! 8 tracks in all, including "Conspiracy On Neptune", "Saturn Bombardment", "Attack on Ganymede", "Martian Encounter", "The Great Red Spot", "Life On Uranus", "Final Destruction" and "War In The Asteroid Belt".

The return of the Rub-A-Dub style – captured in performance at LA's Dub Club! The DVD features 60 minutes worth of performance and interviews – classic reggae tracks mixed with contemporary inflections – and interspersed with interviews with U-Roy, Scientist, and others! There's lots of bonus features too – including bonus performance footage and more interviews – and the set also comes with a CD of original music by Echodelic Soundsystem, a total of 17 tracks that's almost worth the price of the package alone!
