Long-shelved early Michael Hurley material – a full album's worth recorded by folklorist and archivist Fred Ramsey Jr around 1965 – and as far as we know, these are seeing release for the first time ever, thanks to Mississippi and Nero's Neptune! It's really good stuff – mostly just Hurley and an acoustic guitar, and in a fairly plaintive mode – though not without his trademark eccentricities. It's got some alternate versions of Hurley and Holy Modal Rounders material, plus some bits we've never heard before, too. Includes "What'llya Do/Whatt'llya Say?", "The Blues Had Gone Away", "Pretty Girl On Rollerskates", "The Tea Song", "Intersoular Blues", "I Like My Wine", "Hey Hey Hey Hey" and "I Love You Babe".
