The groovy groovy music of Free Design – taken to places we never would have expected! Like the first volume in this series, this one features older sunshine pop tunes by the group, remixed in styles that really expand past the originals – often at a level that completely abstracts the work, and creates a fresh new flurry of beats, keys, sounds, and vocals! The highlight here may well be Stereolab & The High Llamas' version of "Harve Daley Hix", but Caribou also turn in a great spacey jazz reading of "Dorian Benediction" – and the 3 other tracks are pretty great too! Titles include "Girls Alone (Nobody Muzak mix)" by Nobody with Ikey Owens, "To A Black Boy" by Danger Mouse & Murs, and "The Proper Ornaments" by Super Furry Animals.

A nice little 4 track 12" from the men behind Mr Peabody records, Mike and Mark. They've dug up some tasty little disco nuggets here, all hard to find indie releases, and all pumped up loft style classics with a percolating disco vibe that has made the originals of these quite sought after. Two of the tracks, "You Are Just The Right Size" by the Jefferey Turpin Band and "He's Back Gonna Do It Again (inst)" are re-edited versions by Mike and Mark for your club play convenience, and the set also features "Let's Ride" by Junei and "Show Me The Love (inst)" by Carmen.
