✨✧ Ohio PlayersEcstasy/Not So Sad & Lonely ... 7-inch
Westbound, 1973. Very Good+ ... Out Of Stock
The first 3 seconds of this are enough for us – as the track leads in with an amazing guitar part that really hooks us up! The bit's incredible – this slow downturning part that will never be duplicated, and which opens the door to some of the most adventurous writing the group ever did. The tune's funky, but in a really subtle way – one that makes for some incredibly soulful vocalizing too! "Not So Sad" is a great one too – harder and funkier, with that dark dark Westbound production approach! 7-inch, Vinyl record

✨✧ Ohio PlayersHeaven Must Be Like This/Skin Tight ... 7-inch
Mercury, 1974. Near Mint- ... Out Of Stock
On this single, it's the mellow cut that's the great one! "Heaven Must Be Like This" is one of the best spacey soul tracks ever recorded – a sweet and mellow groover that's shortened here for the 7" release, but which still moves along with a depth you wouldn't expect. The track's a great one to trip on back to – and drift away to the clouds on a breezy summer day! 7-inch, Vinyl record
(Still in an Phonogram sleeve, with a small number in pen. Includes jukebox strips.)

✨✧ Ohio PlayersLove Rollercoaster/It's All Over ... 7-inch
Mercury, 1974. Near Mint- ... Out Of Stock
Great stuff! "Love Rollercoaster" was the Ohio Players massive mid 70s hit – a tune that hit pop charts, discos, and car radios alike – all with a joyously romping groove! 7-inch, Vinyl record

✨✧ Ohio PlayersSweet Sticky Thing/Alone ... 7-inch
Mercury, 1975. Near Mint- ... Out Of Stock
Ahhhh . . . . Great stuff! We like "Sweet Sticky Thing" as much as any of the heavy funk tracks by Ohio Players – in fact, maybe even better, as the tune's got a slow finish that makes for a really compelling groove, one that shows that the group had a lot more depth than you might remember! 7-inch, Vinyl record
(Still in a grey Phonogram sleeve.)

✨✧ Deep South BandDeep South Is/Touch Of Soul (includes zine) ... 7-inch
Uni Sound/Clap City (UK), 1977. New Copy (reissue)... Out Of Stock
The Deep South Band definitely hail from the part of the country you'd expect – yet their groove here is very much the sharp ensemble funk that you'd hear from the best scenes up north – especially the growing world of groups in Ohio! The group state their case with the wonderfully catchy "Deep South Is" on the a-side – then let loose instrumentally even more on the flipside, "Touch Of Soul" – which has plenty of freewheeling keyboards and guitar, and some lively vocals egging the players on! 7-inch, Vinyl record
