new Gilbert O'SullivanHimself ... LP
MAM/London, 1971. Very Good .... $1.99
A wonderful album from the young Irish singer/songwriter who went onto become one of the brightest lights in 70s pop! The record isn't his most famous, but it's got loads of great early songs that show O'Sullivan's brilliant talent for putting together lyrics that were simple and witty, yet never cloying – and which also had a wonderful picture postcard quality that made each song a great little slice of life. Titles include "Permissive Twit", "Matrimony", "Nothing Rhymed", and the sublime "Houdini Said".
(Cover has a cutout hole, promo sticker, and a spot of tape on the spine.)

We All Together — We All Together ... CD
1970. New Copy .... Around May 15, 2013 (delayed)
Amazing! This is the record that convinced us that we had to have a rock section – a lost gem by the magnificent Peruvian group that sounds like a mix between Badfinger, late Beatles, The Bee Gees, and Gilbert O'Sullivan, we realized that we had to stock it somehow, because it's lost albums like this (in soul, jazz, Latin, or whatever) that make us so excited to be in the business. Excellent tight songwriting, all in English, laid over some amazingly sharp electric production featuring hard soulful piano chords, jangly guitar chord changes, and cool flanged vocals better than most of the best of late 60's pop.
