A very cool relic from the post-punk scene of the early 80s – the first-ever album on Les Disques Du Crepuscule, originally issued as a cassette, and featuring a really wide range of wonderful music! The collection features some key bits by British artists – including some Factory Records stalwarts – plus other more arty and experimental songs thrown in as well, all wrapped up with a booklet of artwork that further underscores the higher concept leaning of the project. Some of the best tracks are atmospheric instrumentals, and titles include "Stranger" by Repetition, "Children On The Hill" by Harold Budd, "Sleep Will Come" by Durutti Column, "The Music Room" by Martin Hannett, "Cat" by The Names, "Airwaves" by Thomas Dolby, "The Shadow Garden" by Bill Nelson, "Armoury Show" by Richard Jobson, "A Walk Through H" by Michael Nyman, "White's SS" by
Gavin Bryars, "Meine Freunde" by Der Plan, "Twist Up" by Gilbert & Lewis, and "Haystack" by Kevin Hewick & New Order.
(With the original book and bag, too!)
