new Jay Dee & Others — Jay Deelicious – The Delicious Vinyl Years 1995 to 1998 – Originals Remixes & Rarities ... LP
Delicious Vinyl, Mid 90s. New Copy 3LPs .... $21.99 Out Of Stock
A compilation of pivotal mid 90s Dilla productions and remixes – classics and rarities from the Pharcyde, N'Dea Davenport, and the Brand New Heavies with guest appearances by Q-Tip and Mos Def – great stuff from the prime Delicious Vinyl years! It's full of bedrock jazzy funk from Jay Dee – a 3 LP set with vocal versions on the first 2 LPs and instrumentals on the 3rd. This is a great refresher course on Jay Dee's golden age pedigree – especially if you came on board with Dilla in the later Stones Throw years – featuring his earlier genius productions plus a second disc featuring instrumental versions. Proceeds from the LP are to go to Ma Dukes. Titles include "Runnin'" (plus instrumental), "Somethin' That Means Somethin'" (plus instrumental), "Bullsh*t" (plus instrumental), Y? (remix)" (plus instrumental) by Pharcyde, "Sometimes (remix)" (plus remix instrumental) by Brand New Heavies feat Q-Tip, "Saturday Night (remix)" (plus remix instrumental) by Brand New Heavies feat Mos Def, "Whatever You Want (remix)" by N'Dea Davenport and more.

Frank N Dank — 48 Hours ... LP
Digi Pop/Delicious Vinyl, 2003. New Copy .... $16.99 18.98
The timeless sounding underground classic debut of Frank-N-Dank – which is a strong first full length statement for the duo – and a significant milestone in the J Dilla production canon! It has more of a straight up, street ready rhyme style than was typical for Dilla productions at the time – with smoky, pulsing production and unpredictable beats. The rhymes are stronger than we gave 'em credit for a decade or so back – and the raw electro funky bounce provided by Dilla really opened us up to how diverse his style could be outside of the jazzy/funky/soul beats he'd laid down in the preceding couple of years! Tracks include "Rite Bites", "Street Life", "Pimp Strut", "Where The Parties At?", "All Seasons", "Take Dem Clothes Off" and more.
Also available: 48 Hours (2CD edition – with instrumentals) ... CD $15.99

Masta Ace Incorporated — SlaughtaHouse ... LP
Delicious Vinyl, 1993. New Copy 2LP (reissue).... $18.99
The second proper Masta Ace album – dope stuff from the glorious early 90s that lives up to his work with the legendary Juice Crew and his classic debut! At this point Masta Ace into deep into his fairly new approach of creating excellent full length listening experiences – with tracks that show wisened MC who can rhyme about what's wrong with hip hop and the culture in a broader sense – but still done with a sharp sense of humor and excellent period beats. The tracks are just about as nice as the previous Take A Look Around LP on Cold Chillin, with a few hilarious tracks mocking the "hardcore" MC's, including "Jeep A** N*gguh)", "Slaughtahouse", "Late Model Sedan", "Style Wars" and "Saturday Nite Live". Other titles include "Jack B Nimble", "Who You Jackin'" and "Crazy Drunkin' Style".

Pharcyde — Bizarre Ride II The Pharcyde (blue & yellow colored vinyl) ... LP
Delicious Vinyl, 1992. New Copy 2LP (reissue).... $22.99 24.98
The early 90s classic by The Pharcyde – the group's high water mark – and one of the greatest hip hop albums of the era! Along with Del and the Souls Of Mischief, Pharcyde were one of the few West Coast units to achieve any kind of widespread popularity using the uniquely loopy, funhouse kinda of vibe of De La Soul, Black Sheep and Tribe Called Quest in their lighter moments. This has always been a tough one to find on wax, particularly in the high quality 2 LP incarnation, so we're thrilled to see this one back on the market! Features the classics "Passing Me By", "Soul Flower", "Ya Mama", "I'm That Type Of Ni@*a", "Officer", "4 Better Or 4 Worse", "Return Of The B-Boys", and lots more!
(Dual colored vinyl – one yellow, one blue!)
Also available: Bizarre Ride II The Pharcyde (3CD box set) ... CD $18.99

new Frank N Dank — 48 Hours – Instrumentals ... LP
Sound Of Oakland/Delicious Vinyl, 2003. New Copy .... $16.99 18.98 Temporarily Out Of Stock
The stripped-down core of the Frank N Dank debut – and a lasting tribute to the studio genius of Dilla! The beats here are really bassy – the kind that almost make you want to replace the back seat of your car with bigger speakers – just to enjoy them fully! (Heck, even on an iPod's earbuds, you could still probably shake your neighbor's boots with this record!) There's some great raw electro touches mixed in with the stark beats – and while the setting is perfect for the rhymes of the vocal record, it's almost even more haunting on its own. Titles include "Marijuana", "Street Life", "Where The Parties At", "Y'All Don't Want It", "Sex On The Beach", "All Seasons", and "Ma Dukes".
