✨✧ Max ColeStarcharts – Album Sampler ... 12-inch
Wah Wah (UK), 2006. Near Mint- (pic cover)... Out Of Stock
Max has his eyes on the stars on the cover of this one, and the record's got an equally cosmic groove to match – kind of a slower, more spaced out take on the London style of the early 21st Century – served up with fresh new touches that give the album a more righteous sound than you might expect! The beats here are often a bit mellow, and usually not that broken – just stretched out as a nice bottom support for Max's mix of keyboards and a few other jazzy touches. The overall sound is pretty great – really back to basics, and almost the sound that we'd first started loving from London in the mid 90s years when everyone was inspired by 70s soul jazz, yet never taking things too far over the top. Quite subtle, but in a really good way – with titles that include "Wallflowerin", "Who Got The Keys", "Ay Calor", and "Silver Linings"/ 12-inch, Vinyl record

✨✧ Taana GardnerHeartbeat (club version, party version) ... 12-inch
West End, 1981. Near Mint- ... Out Of Stock
An undisputed classic! The funky grooves of this early 80s single by Taana make it our favorite by her – and it's a non-stop killer that's served up here in a 9 and 6 minute version. Used as the sample for "Buddy" by De La Soul, and for a whole bunch of other tracks too! 12-inch, Vinyl record
(In a West End sleeve.)

✨✧ Mighty Riders/LowrellEvil Vibrations/Mellow Mellow Right On ... 12-inch
Alpha Omega, 1970s. Near Mint- ... Out Of Stock
Two mellow groove sample cuts, put back to back as part of this great 12" series of hard to find tracks. "Evil Vibrations" is the stone jam sampled by De La Soul for "Rollerskating Jam Named Saturdays", and "Mellow Mellow" has been used by more than one artist over the years. Both cuts are nice nice nice! 12-inch, Vinyl record

✨✧ VariousSound Of Champions – Be Free EP ... 12-inch
Sound Of Champions, 1970s. Near Mint- ... Out Of Stock
A tasty little 4 track sampler overflowing with great little grooves! The set kicks off with Port Authority's cover of Deodato's "Super Strut" – a great version of the funky classic that puts in a bit more horns than usual, but still keeps the driving groove of the tune intact! Leon Mitchison follows with the spacey club track "Love Is" – a killer number from the pre-disco years, and one that mixes together sweeter soul with a driving bassy groove! The Black Exotics cop the style of another great funk combo and jam hard and horny on "Theme Of Blackbyrds" – followed by the excellent "Butter Nut" by Black Truth Band, which jams and snaps along with heavy heavy drums on the bottom, and almost a marching groove on the top! 12-inch, Vinyl record
