Sax player Lester Sterling shines brightly on "The Big Job" – and it's really saying something that he stands out so brilliantly here – as the rhythm is incredible! Easygoing, but masterful sax by Sterling over a tight bass, drums and organ. A stellar instrumental, with the Aggrovators version on the flip.

Another massive Tubby dub collection, but you might never know it from the cheap looking cover. A dozen Aggrovators jams from the golden age of Jamaican music, all with Tubby's expert knob twirling taking them into the next dimension. We aren't entirely certain, we'd hazard a guess that these are all Bunny Lee productions, filled out nicely with fat bass, crisp hi hats and a heavy thumping kick, punctuated nicely by dubby reverb and echoplex. With "King Of The Arena Dub", "No Partial Dub", "Crazy Baldhead Dub", "A Living Dub", "Destroy Dub Style", "Book Of Numbers Dub" and "Natty Roots Man Dub".

The Roots Of Dub from The Dub Master – the one-and-only King Tubby. That's pretty much all you need to hear to know that this album rumbles with floor shaking bass, thunderous reverb drops and chattering echo, nicing up the heavy duty rhythms laid down by the Aggrovators. Treasures is right, and thank goodness they're not lost anymore! A fine reissue compilation of Bunny Lee rhythms, all touched with chattering echoplex drops and some thunderous reverb. The band is the Aggrovators, loaded with heavies like Carlton ann Aston Barrett, Sly & Robbie, Jackie Mittoo, Winston Wright and Tommy McCook. Almost all of these dubs are exclusive to this compilation, annotated to their original rhythms and the versions that these were voiced from. 14 tracks in all, including "Falling For Dub", "Dub On The Street Again", "Deceiving The Dub", Release The Dub", "Jumpers Dub" and "You Have Caught The Dub".
