As you might guess from the title, the record's got a bit more uptempo stuff than on their earlier album, and the band works incredibly well in this mode – moving briskly, but smoothly – and locked into unshakably solid grooves! Includes a couple of standouts tracks in "Goddess Of The Boogie" and "Haunting You (Crystal Ball)" – but the whole record is really nice! The group's got a wonderfully tight ensemble style that mixes both male and female vocals with bumping bass and sweet jazzy keyboards – all very much in a mode that's similar to some of their Capitol label contemporaries – like BB&Q Band or Mystic Merlin – with perhaps just an undercurrent of the Roger/Zapp sound too.
