A great second chapter set from Steel Pulse – a record that marks their first effort away from Island Records, and a sound that's maybe got them reaching for even more global fame overall! There's a spirit here that's very much like the best Island material by other artists of the previous decade – wisdom and knowledge, but served up with a slinkily soulful vibe – and not overly commercial at all, given that the group put the record together themselves, and were hardly reaching for the charts – yet really gave themselves a strong footing to move forward with the album.
