One of the best early efforts to pair the great Sam Lightin Hopkins with accompaniment – in this case, the rollicking drums of Spider Kilpatrick – bring just a little bit of early 60s boogie to Sam's charismatic blues! The electric guitar and bluesy storytelling style of Sam sounds great in all recording situations if you ask us, but this pared down duo style with Spider works really well.
