Excellent stuff from Blow Fly – and a great bit of funk that's a hilarious parody of disco! Blow's band funks it up with riffs that you'd hear from The JBs, BT Express, or other groups of the time – while Blow himself sings these very off-color, and very funny lyrics that rip off the overt sensuality and empty promises of the disco era. The whole thing's as great as any of his other funky records from the time – and it's another one of those great gems from the 70s that put the "party" in Party Records!

Here's a record we wish they would have used for the soundtrack to Happy Days – Blowfly cashing in on the 50s craze in the 70s, and offering up his own off-color version of a number of classic oldies! The sound is pretty darn goofy, but also has links to Blow's roots as singer Clarence Reid – as his vocals are really out front in the mix, and belting things out with a surprisingly soulful quality – even while cracking wise about sex and related topics! Titles include "My Sex Life Was Through", "In The Still", "Get A Blow Job", "Silly Bitch", "Suck Around The Clock", and "So Funky".

Mid 70's live album by Rudy Ray Moore, and one of the few records of his that we've seen that isn't on Kent. There's a band backing him up, but they're sort of in the background, and you can't hear them that well because Rudy's thundering voice is booming out over tracks like "Hell Of A Blow Job", "Crack Me Some Nuts", "Grow By The Minute", and "Fast Black".

Blowfly changes up his groove nicely for the 80s – taking on a tightly-stepping approach to funk that's clearly inspired by some of the changes on the west coast scene – using Zapp-ish rhythms in a mode that ends up working pretty darn well for his off-color spoken lyrics! There's almost a P-Funk quality to the record – especially as the themes get a bit more political and current events-ish than usual – trading the easy sex jokes for some other comic fare on tunes that include "Convoy", "Blowfly Vs. Darth Vadar", "The Incredible Fulk", and "The Insects Theme".
