New Talib KweliGravitas ... LP
Javotti Media, 2014. New Copy 2LP ... $18.99 20.98
Modern mic legend Talib Kweli delivers once again – with busy, brilliant rhymes and diverse production backdrop – and appearances by guitarist Gary Clark Jr, Big KRIT, Raekwon, Abby Dobson, The Underachievers and more. Kweli has been killing mics since the 90s, and much to our appreciation he's still sounds like a hungry young gun after all these years – and proudly carrying the torch for mic centric hip hop. Includes "Inner Monologue", the standout "Demonology" with Big KRIT & Gary Clark Jr, "State Of Grace" feat Abby Dobson, "Violations" feat Raekwon, "New Leaders" feat The Underachievers, "The Wormhole", "What's Real" feat RES, "Art Imitates Life" feat Black Thought, Rah Digga and Albe Back, "Lover's Peak" and "Colors Of You" feat Mike Posner. New BeansTomorrow Right Now ... LP
Warp, 2003. Very Good 2LP ... Just Sold Out!
Beans hits the dirt first – here's the first post Antipop solo project. Like that crew's later work it's a lot better than us sample-loving hip hop purists want to admit – pretty much a continuation of Ahrythmia without the rest of the group. When Beans is rhyming – and for most of this LP he's right there – everything's on point. His flow is fast, smart, and crystal clear, and he has a playful way in which his delivery surrounds the beats. At his best he reminds us of recent Del. When he's sitting out on tracks, you're subjected to blips, bloops, and computer babble that's better left to the other artists on Warp. Tracks include "Roar", Phreek the Beat", "Mearle", "Raping Silence", "Toast", "Hot Venom", "Mutescreamer", Booga Sugar", "Sow Broken", and more. 14 tracks on two slabs o' wax. LP, Vinyl record album

New Chino XLHere To Save You All (clean version) ... LP
American, 1996. Used 2LP ... Temporarily Out Of Stock
The first and only LP from quick-witted emcee Chino XL, who busts on everyone from Magic Johnson to your Moms and back. As Evidence of Dilated says, would we have Eminem without Chino XL? Though he was all over the Wake Up Show for a minute, we don't really know what's become of him. Guest spots by fellow lyrical assassin Ras Kass and Kool Keith. 15 tracks, plus the intro, all killer, no filler, includes "No Complex", "Freestyle Rhymes", "Waiting To Exhale", "Kreep", "The Shabba Doo Conspircy", "Ghetto Vampire" and "Rise". LP, Vinyl record album
(Clean edited promo.)

7 Heads, 1998. Used (pic cover)... Out Of Stock
"Better (Butter)" uses an updated version of the old-school back-and-forth three-part MC style and more energy than the average underground track. And you can't go wrong here with both tracks produced by DJ Spinna. 12-inch, Vinyl record
