Thoughtfully-crafted work from Adam Rudolph's Moving Pictures – a group who draw partially from the global influences of Rudolph's past, but also come across with some more angular modern jazz touches! Players include Graham Haynes on cornet and flugelhorn, Ned Rothenberg on clarinet and flutes, and Hamid Drake on drums and percussion – and other members of the group bring in a host of more exotic instrumentation – including oud, tarija, bamboo flute, and cajon – in addition to Rudolph's own host of world percussion. Tracks are sometimes quite sort and thematic, at other times more long and ambitious – and titles include "Oshogbo", "The Violet Hour", "Mood", "A Vision Of Pure Delight", "Cousin Of The Moon", "Scintilla", "Happiness Road", "The Sphinx", and "Walking The Curve".
