One of the trippiest kids films ever made – a 70s animated feature narrated by Ringo Starr, and featuring music by Harry Nilsson! The film tells the story of Oblio, a round-headed boy living in the land of "point" – where everything is pointy, and everybody has a point on their head! Oblio gets banished to the Pointless Forest, a wild landscape that's right out of Yellow Submarine – and has lots of crazy and weird encounters along his voyage of self-discovery. And yeah, it sounds corny – but thanks to the presentation, it's pretty great – and the biggest treat of all is Nilsson's songs, which include the semi-hit "Me & My Arrow"! Also contains four bonus features not on previous releases – "Who Is Harry Nilsson", "Making The Point", "Pitching The Point", and "
Legacy Of The Point".
(There is no indication, but we are assuming this is an NTSC format, Region 1 DVD.)
