new Joe GibbsDub Serial ... LP
Joe Gibbs/Greensleeves (UK), Early 70s. New Copy (reissue).... $9.99 Out Of Stock
Joe Gibbs' great and rare dub set Dub Serial – with JG handling production of the heavyweight rhythms – purportedly the very first Joe Gibbs dub LP and it's a great one! Spare, heavy bass lines that are as hypnotic as on any dub record of the time – tripped out just enough via som spacey echo. Includes "Satta Mmassa Gana Version", "More Dub Version", "Love Me Girl Version", "Money In My Pocket Version", "Rainy Night In Georgia Version", "God Bless The Children Version", "Be The One Version", "He Prayed Version" and more. 12 in all.

new Culture — Two Sevens Clash ... LP
Joe Gibbs/17 North Parade, 1978. New Copy (reissue).... $9.99 10.98 Out Of Stock
Essential! The mighty debut album from African disciples Culture pairing up with the Mighty Two, Joe Gibbs and Errol Thompson is one of the landmark sets of roots reggae, a defining moment of the genre dropped during the year when two sevens clashed. And though the apocalypse didn't rain down from the skies in '77, this album was certainly a world-changing event, one of the finest moments in Kingston's rich musical history! Gibbs provides the trio with a set of uplifting rhythms over which to harmonize, and Culture comes correct on every track, combining a tightly harmonized approach with a rawer, rootsier sound. 10 tracks in all, including "I'm Alone In The Wilderness", "Pirate Days", "Two Sevens Clash", "Caling Rastafari", "I'm Not Ashamed", 'Get Ready To Ride The Lion To Zion", "Black Starliner Must Come", "Jah Pretty Face", 'See Them A Come" and "Natty Dread Taking Over".

new King Tubby — Rocker's Almighty Dub ... LP
Clocktower, Late 70s. New Copy (reissue).... $12.99 Temporarily Out Of Stock
10 excellent roots rock rhythms given a nice dub treatment, and though we're selling this record as most shops do, as a King Tubby side, we'd be willing to wager he actually wasn't around his studio when this was mixed, and certainly wasn't around Joe Gibbs' or Bullwackies when the cuts included here from those spots were mixed. Still it's a great set of rhythms, all with excellent spaced out dub mixes, and burning performances at the hands of Sly & Robbie, Family Man, Bagga Morris, Santa Davis, Augustus Pablo and others. With "Rocker's Almighty Dub", "Dunza Dub", "Storm & Lightning", "Something Nice Bout Da Dub", "Upful & Positive Dread", "Hold this Dub" and "21 Gun Salute to Brother Marcus".
